American Airlines over the next two
years will install Aircell’s Gogo®
Inflight Internet service on more than 300
domestic MD-80 and B737-300 aircrafts,
beginning with 150 MD-80 aircrafts this
year.
AA in August 2008 became the first
US carrier to launch the Gogo service.
Passengers with notebook computers can
use Gogo for US$12.95 for flights longer
than three hours and US$9.95 for flights
less than three hours.
Aircell in March
introduced a special rate of US$7.95 for
customers using a handheld device on
flights of any length.
